Local naturalist John Pelter leads us through the woodland to discover and observe a range of fungi. Depending on the weather, this popular walk includes a number of stopping points to share knowledge on individual specimens. If we are lucky, it may include: Fly Agaric and Magpie Inkcap.

- What to bring and wear
This activity will take place outside, so please ensure you dress for the weather and wear suitable footwear for muddy, uneven paths. There is no shelter on this walk.
- Accessibility
Please wear sturdy footwear and use walking poles if necessary. The walk takes place on unmade tracks within the woodland and is unlikely to be suitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters. The woodland floor can be uneven and sometimes muddy.
- Other
The walk is approximately 90 minutes long. There are no toilet facilities on this site, but Petts Wood is about 15 minutes away. Parking is on the highway - please observe all parking restrictions and don't obstruct driveways or entrances. If it's wet, we may have to cancel at short notice.
