This outdoor photography workshop is a perfect opportunity to learn how to capture the beautiful autumn colour in the picturesque setting of Scotney Castle, during half term.

Join Sharp Shots Photo Club to discover how to capture the vibrant colours of autumn in the stunning grounds of Scotney Castle. This hands-on workshop will guide participants through using focus and depth of field to make the rich hues of leaves and flowers stand out.

You’ll learn how to:

Use aperture settings creatively to blur or sharpen backgrounds.

Apply compositional techniques to frame your shots in compelling ways.

Keep autumn colours as the focal point of your images.

By the end of the session, participants will leave with a beautiful set of photographs showcasing Scotney’s autumnal charm — plus two favourite prints to take home.

Meet at Visitor Reception 5-10 minutes before the start of the session.

What to bring and wear

This class is run completely outdoors & is weather dependent. Please bring waterproof clothing and a rucksack for any personal possessions.

Accessibility

The site is on a steep gradient but, with hard-surfaced paths and few steps, is largely suitable for mobility scooters and wheelchairs. For more details please check the website or call 01892 893820.
