Come along to learn about horticultural and carbon-saving projects at this knowledge and seed swap event, featuring Fruity Windermere, the South Lakes Orchard Group, National Trust and Community Climate grants projects including:
Mycelium Thinking, Cumbria Clothing Collective, Full of Noises (Barrow Park): Sounding the Elements Project, Riversmeet, The Eddington CIC.
This FREE event includes an opening talk from Tim Farron MP, a vegan / vegetarian lunch provided by Waste into Wellbeing, inspirational workshops and an opportunity to explore beautiful St Catherine's woodland surrounding the National Trust's Footprint venue near Windermere.
At this Cumbria Sustainability Network 'in person' event, you'll have the opportunity to meet like-minded people who want to 'do their bit' to tackle climate change. Please join us to celebrate the achievements of community groups operating under the umbrella of the Zero Carbon Cumbria Partnership, and gain ideas and confidence to develop new initiatives in your part of Cumbria.

Please note, parking at The Footprint is extremely limited and we encourage walking, cycling, car sharing. There is a footpath that runs from Windermere to the St.Catherine's estate where Footprint is located.

Hand carve your own trough bowl from greenwood using axes, draw knives, gouges and adzes. A busy day will be rewarded when your creation takes pride of place in your kitchen.

Scandinavian Shrink Pot Carving
Create a beautiful natural pot from greenwood, using the shrinkage of the tree as it dries out to create a sealed pot.
