Harvest Foraging Walks
Join local foraging expert, Lizzy, to seek hedgerow and woodland edible treats that are full of surprising flavours!
- Booking essential
As part of our Harvest events programme, book a short foraging walk with local expert, Lizzy, to seek hedgerow and woodland edible treats that are full of surprising flavours! We will be looking for wild fruits, herbs, mushrooms and plants that are all around us and teaching you key identification features/preferred habitats to give a good introduction to foraging for your own wild food journey going forwards.
We will be covering good foraging practice, sustainability, preservation techniques and what species to look out for in the coming months after your foraging session with us.
You may wish to bring a camera, notepaper, something to drink as we walk and ensure you have sturdy comfortable footwear/weather appropriate clothing for the wander.
Please book in advance online or check for ticket availability at Visitor Reception when you arrive. Aimed at adults but children 12 years and over can join if booking with an adult guardian.
