Balsam Bashing Volunteer Sessions
Session 1: 16th June 2026 Session 2: 17th June 2026
Himalayan balsam is an invasive non-native plant that spreads rapidly, crowding out native wildflowers and reducing biodiversity in our green spaces and woodlands. By helping remove it before it seeds, you’ll be supporting healthier habitats for local wildlife and plants.
No experience needed, just bring sturdy footwear, weather-appropriate clothing, and plenty of enthusiasm! Gloves and guidance will be provided.
Come along to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people, and make a positive impact for nature.
About the event... What to expect on the day? Sessions are led by staff or experienced volunteers – no previous experience needed. A safety briefing will be provided at the start of the session.
