Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol - A one-man performance with dinner

This Christmas, join us for an evening of seasonal celebrations and timeless storytelling in the Great Hall. Begin with a delicious dinner before enjoying a one-man performance of Charles Dicken's A Christmas Carol.

  • Booking essential

Start your evening in the Victorian tearoom with a hearty festive meal featuring a festive turkey one-pot with crusty bread and a drink of choice. Vegetarian alternative available.

Then enjoy a one-man performance of Charles Dicken’s A Christmas Carol inside the splendour of the Great Hall, decorated for Christmas.

Non-alcoholic mulled wine and a mince pie will be served in the tearoom during the show interval.

Pre-booking your tickets is essential.

Please arrive for 17.45 as dinner will be served in one sitting.

Due to the layout of the tearoom, seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. You may be sat with other parties. Please let us know if you require step-free access and accessible seating in the tearoom.

Seating in the Great Hall is not allocated and will be chosen on arrival. Please let us know if you require step-free access or additional space inside the Great Hall.

This event takes place outside of standard opening hours so normal admission does not apply. The house and grounds, beyond the performance space, will not be open to visit during this evening performance.
