Springtime garden poetry walk & talk
Join gardener Joel and members of a local poetry group for an introduction on Rufford's gardens, followed by poetry recitals inspired by the beauty of spring and blossom, by Preston Just Write.

Enjoy an afternoon at Rufford Old Hall with some fascinating insights into its beautiful gardens and diverse plant life. As you stroll through the garden, members of a local writing group 'Preston Just Write' will recite some prepared poetry at various intervals, bringing the magic of spring to life with verses inspired by the beauty of blossom and the renewal of the season. After the walk, you're invited to join the writing group for a creative writing session, where you can engage in a collaborative environment, and take some time to unleash your creativity. This will take place in our cottage garden room, with 20 minutes sitting down to write, and 10 minutes sharing. The whole event will be no more than 2 hours. Normal Admission applies

Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
- Meeting point
The walk will start in the courtyard. Please enter from the car park through the Coach House.
- What to bring and wear
Please dress appropriately for the weather, a bottle of water is advised. All items required for the writing session will be provided.
- Accessibility
toilet facilities adaptations for disabled users, which can be found in the Courtyard. The tearoom picnic area has step-free level access into and throughout.
