The Christmas season is on the way and Morden Hall Park is the perfect place to get into the festive spirit. Bring the family to meet Father Christmas, come Christmas shopping in our Garden Centre, second hand bookshop or at our Young Makers Market, and visit for wintery walks in the park and cosy treats in the Potting Shed Café.

Meet Father Christmas - 30 Nov and 1,7,8,14,15 Dec

Always a winner with the kids, the festive season wouldn't be complete without an opportunity to meet Father Christmas in his grotto. He and his elves have been working all year preparing for the big day and have a sack full of presents waiting to hand-out to everyone. Nestled in his grotto in the stableyard, come along 15 minutes before your scheduled time slot and write your Christmas wish list. Suitable for babies to children up to 8 years old.

Tickets are £14 per child.

Young Makers Market - Sunday 24 November

After the success of our Young Makers Market earlier this year, we will be hosting a Christmas edition for an opportunity for local entrepreneurs aged 16-25 to sell their products and promote their business. Come and show your support and find beautifully crafted gifts or possibly even a treat for yourself.

Free to all, from 10am to 4pm in the stableyard.

If you are a young person aged 16 – 25 who would like to have an opportunity to promote your business, please contact us about a free stall.

Christmas in the Garden Centre

Our garden is the perfect location to get ready for Christmas from choosing and decorating your tree, planning your festive table, to finding that extra special gift for friends and family. All our trees are UK-grown varieties and all our products are responsibly sourced.

Late-night Shopping

Join us for late-night shopping events when we'll be open till 7 pm. Whilst you're browsing our selection of Christmas fare, you'll be serenaded by a chorus of Christmas carols sung by Merton Music Foundation.

Thursday 28 November – ‘Savour the Season’. A chance to select from our freshly delivered UK-grown Christmas trees and select those baubles to dress the tree that tells us all the true magic of Christmas has arrived.

Thursday 5 December – ‘Sprinkle some magic’. Browse from our special selection of National Trust food and drink, such as our renowned Mince Pies, Rhubarb & Ginger Gin Liqueur or Salted Caramel Vodka to help warm our spirits

Christmas trees

All our trees are freshly delivered UK-grown and include Nordman and Fraser Firs. For an even more sustainable option why not pick one of our potted trees which can be planted out in the garden and re-potted for future Christmases.

Christmas gifts

Looking for some gift inspiration? From throws and blankets, books, homeware, stationery, pet accessories and more, the Garden Centres stocks a seasonal collection of National Trust and other locally-sourced products that will make great gifts for friends or family.

A sustainable Christmas

We're dreaming of a sustainable Christmas at Morden Hall Park and exploring ways you can enjoy an environmentally-friendly festive season. Whether that's buying a real Christmas tree from our Garden Centre to buying locally-sourced gifts at your Young Makers Market. These small steps all contribute to making a big difference.

Buy second hand

A great sustainable gift idea is to buy second hand. Our Second hand bookshop has an amazing collection of adult and children's fiction and non-fiction titles, plus the odd collectable too. Every penny you spend goes back into caring for the park so you'll be indirectly supporting us this Christmas too.

The gift of membership

Buying experiences or days out is often considered a more environmentally-friendly alternative to buying presents. So why not give the gift of National Trust membership to your friends and loved ones so that they can enjoy our places for free all year round? While they're enjoying their membership, the money from your gift helps us care for these unforgettable places, keeping them special for everyone, for ever.

Walking in a winter wonderland

Wrap up warm and step outside for some fresh air this winter with a wander along the paths and through the meadows at Morden Hall Park. Crunch through frost, enjoy early morning sunrises and take the time for a moment of calm. Dogs are very welcome!

Winter warmers

Nestled by the river within the walls of the old kitchen garden, the Potting Shed café offers hot and cold means and snacks and drinks between 9.30am and 4pm every day. Open between 10am and 3pm at weekends, the Stableyard café is perfect for grabbing a quick bite or hot drink after a brisk walk in the park.
