Let Hope Blossom at Morden Hall Park
Gather, reflect and share your hopes for the future in a new public artwork at Morden Hall Park on Saturday 16 May, 11am - 6pm
- Booking not needed
- Free event
Let Hope Blossom is a free, drop-in public artwork and sound installation taking place at Morden Hall Park, open from 11am–6pm on Saturday 16 May.
Come explore a temporary installation that combines sound, text and large-scale visual elements. At its heart is the Pavilion of Hope, where you can leave voice notes, small fragments of thought, humour, memory or hope. These contributions will be collected on-site and via WhatsApp from across the UK, then mixed into an evolving soundscape that plays throughout the day.
Around the pavilion, a series of bold billboards and blossom-inspired visuals transform the park setting into a space filled with colour and sound. With live performances throughout the day, you are free to wander, listen, spend time contributing, or simply pass through and experience the work at your own pace.
The installation is produced by Wild Rumpus CIC in collaboration with the National Trust, and forms part of the Big Blooming Break, a nationwide programme marking the arrival of blossom and seasonal change. If you can’t attend in person, you can still take part by sending a WhatsApp voice note to 0800 222 9322.
Selected messages will be added to the sound installation and included in an online collection of contributions from across the UK.
