Family Theatre: Peter Rabbit, Fri 7 and Sat 8 August

Join Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures in this enchanting adaptation of the much loved Beatrix Potter classic – a treat for all the family in our beautiful rose garden.

Quantum Theatre are back with an enchanting new adaptation of two of Beatrix Potter’s best-loved Tales, The Tales of Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.

Peter and his naughty cousin Benjamin know very well that they are not to go into Mr McGregor’s garden, but they cannot resist and soon they find themselves in all sorts of scrapes, caught In a net, trapped by a snarling cat and face to face with Mr McGregor himself!

How will they ever escape? Can Old Mr Bunny come to the rescue in time? And whatever will Mr McGregor make of all those footprints in the flower beds?

Michael Whitmore’s charming adaptation will have you spellbound so why not grab the kids, a blanket and a picnic and join Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures - a magical afternoon of fun for all the family.

Pack a blanket, pick up supplies from our rose garden kiosk and follow Peter and Benjamin on their hair-raising adventures.

Please note that children aged 2 and under can attend without a ticket. One carer per paying guest is admitted free with supporting documentation.

Tickets stop selling online at midnight before the show but will be available for purchase on the door for all performances.

Snuff mill bridge for ticket checking. The performance will take place in the Rose Garden.

What to bring and wear

This is an open air event and will go ahead, rain or shine. Please dress accordingly! There is no seating available on the lawn, we recommend you bring a picnic blanket to sit on.

Draw and paint roses in the rose garden with artist Edward Luke Thrush. Explore botanical drawing using ink and colour, and discover new ways of seeing plants through nature, history and identity. Suitable for all abilities.
