Heritage Open Days: Osterley Park and House

Osterley Park and House will be taking part in the Heritage Open Days Festival on Saturday 12 September to Sunday 13 September. Entry is for free for all visitors.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September you can explore the garden, estate and house for free.

Join us at Osterley to explore the house and see our brilliant exhibition 'Journeys: Wedding Shawls, Baghs and Phulkaris from the Karun Thakar Collection'. In the exhibition you can see beautiful textiles, made by young women in the undivided Punjab for ceremonial use, that bring new energy and cultural presence to a property with strong links to global craftsmanship, trade and Empire through the East India Company.

You can also take a glimpse inside some of the house's hidden spaces. In order to protect our collection from light damage and wear and tear, we limit how often we open items such as cabinets and drawers. However, we still need to see inside regularly to monitor the condition and to check for mould growth or pest damage. Take this rare opportunity to peek into some of Osterley’s incredible cabinets and hidden spaces.
