Join us for one of nature’s greatest transformations as you become the world’s most famous caterpillar from Eric Carle’s best-selling book The Very Hungry Caterpillar™.
Wiggle along the trail to spot juicy fruits and tasty snacks before emerging as a beautiful butterfly. Along the way you’ll digest fascinating facts and enjoy games and activities in our stunning grounds. Feast your eyes, feed your mind and spread your wings with us.

This Easter, something mischievous has happened at Osterley … The animals from the Tapestry Room have escaped and are hiding all around the Formal Garden!
Bring the family and follow the magical Easter trail to help track them down. Along the way, enjoy 10 fun art-and-nature inspired activities that big and little explorers alike will love. Complete the trail and a delicious Easter egg (choose dairy, vegan or Free From*) will be waiting for you!
The trail costs £3.50 per person and includes trail sheet, bunny ears, and chocolate egg.
Admission to the House and Garden is additional (entry is free for NT members and under 5s).
* Free From chocolate egg is suitable for people with milk, egg, gluten, peanut and tree nut allergies.

Explore the estate on two wheels and see what wildlife you can find with bikes available to hire for all ages. Remember to check the Cycle Hire hub for opening and closing times ahead of your visit.
Take a stroll around the estate and witness the garden at its best.
The Stables Café is open daily, serving a selection of hot and cold drinks as well as seasonal lunches, light bites, sandwiches and cakes, including a children’s menu.
