Walking Nature Disco
Join field recordist and musician Martin Scaiff on a unique family-oriented walk around the Felbrigg Estate.
- Booking essential
The sounds of nature are a celebration of life, and what better way to celebrate than going to a disco!
You’ll be guided to tune into the biggest band in the world, found in the rich acoustic habitats of the Felbrigg Estate. Hear birds as the lead singers, crickets driving the rhythm section with their stridulations, underwater plants adding their popping percussion, and bass provided by underground rumbles. Listen closely to the world around you and feel inspired. Translate what you’ve heard into drawing, writing, mark-making, and capturing recordings and join in the nature disco.
Supported by the National Trust's Riverlands project.
