We're celebrating the Council for British Archaeology's Festival of Archaeology this July with a series of fascinating guided walks of the parkland.
Archaeological investigations over the past few years have shaped our understanding of Oxburgh, revealing evidence of Roman and Medieval settlements within what is now Oxburgh Estate.
Join our extremely knowledgeable archaeology volunteers and discover Oxburgh’s incredible bronze age archaeology as you delve into the past and discover what we discovered hiding in our woodland.

After checking in at Visitor Welcome, please meet your tour guide at the end of the North Terrace (by the chapel)
- What to bring and wear
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day. It is advisable to bring water given the length of the walk. Sturdy, closed-toed footwear is recommended.
- Accessibility
The route covers uneven ground, steps, 30 and 45 degree slopes, grass footpaths and narrow paths. Please visit the Oxburgh website for our full access guide.
