Sheringham Park Visitor Centre Project

Each year, around 190,000 people visit Sheringham Park, many coming back time and again to enjoy the tranquil walks, beautiful views, and time in nature with family and friends. A project is being planned to improve its visitor welcome and café spaces to ensure that they are fit for purpose all year round.
A planning application will soon be submitted for a design to make better use of existing visitor buildings at Sheringham Park and to make some changes to them, to improve the visitor experience all year round.
Plans include building a small kitchen extension to accommodate more equipment, so a wider menu can be offered. The extra space will also allow a dishwasher to be installed, stopping usage of disposable plates and cups.
An existing holiday cottage will be transformed into a new visitor reception where members of the staff and volunteer team will provide a warm welcome, as well as information and tips to help people make the most of their visit.
Paths that link the car park, visitor facilities and the park will also be changed to create a better flow and avoid crossing over with delivery and maintenance vehicles.
