Nature walk with Ranger Jason

Learn about nature on the Durham coast with Ranger Jason.

  • Free event

Explore rocky headlands, wildflower meadows and secluded bays with a ranger. Discover local wildlife, including birds, butterflies, moths, and fungi. Ranger Jason is delivering this series of walks and surveys as part of the Coastal Grasslands Reconnected Project. The Coastal Grasslands Reconnected Project aims to create and restore the wildflower rich magnesian limestone grasslands along the Durham Coastline. The project is a partnership between Durham County Council, the National Trust, and Durham Wildlife Trust. Coastal Grasslands Reconnected is funded by the Government’s Species Survival Fund.
