Summer of Play at Souter 2026

With a variety of ways to play, you could end up staying all day! Come get competitive or imaginative with our fun line up of activities.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event

You can get involved with a self-led activity available every single day (Saturday – Wednesday) or come along to our pop up events that are on throughout the school holidays.

Self-led activities will be available in the gardens and foghorn field for you to pick up whenever you fancy. Challenge your family members to a game of your choice or just a kickabout or race across the field.

While you're here there will also be imaginative activities happening in and outside of the lighthouse! (normal admission applies) Discover the lighthouse keeper trail, as you undertake a checklist of important (yet fun) jobs to keep the lighthouse running and the inspector happy.

If you would prefer more organised fun, we will have a range of pop-ups running (dates TBC), please check back on our events page for more information. Some of the activities will include:

• SEND sports and games with Smile Through Sport

• Nature crafts

• Free family yoga with Kalma Life UK

• Led-games of football, rounders and dodgeball

This event is free. Donations are very welcome and will go directly towards caring for Souter Lighthouse and The Leas, as well as helping us continue to offer family activities.
