Crafted Christmas: Crafternoons
Help us create beautiful handmade Christmas decorations inspired by Wallington’s heritage.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
This year, we’re inviting visitors and local crafters to help bring Christmas to life at Wallington by creating some unique handmade decorations.
Each room’s decorations will highlight a different material and craft style, celebrating both historic and contemporary techniques connected to the Wallington’s heritage.
Our drop-in craft sessions will offer a variety of activities suitable for all skill levels. You can try your hand at pom pom making, crochet ‘paper’ chains, stitching and appliqué, or creating woollen leaves through knitting, felting or crochet. We’ll also be crafting imaginative decorations such as birds made from recycled materials, offering a creative and sustainable twist.
Whether you’re an experienced maker or just fancy giving something new a try, we’d love you to get involved and contribute to the festive displays.
We’d also greatly appreciate any donations of wool and embellishments (such as buttons, ribbons and sequins) to help support the workshops.
Come along and help us build a truly special Christmas at Wallington.
