Family fun this Halloween

Looking for some spooky family fun this Halloween? From GIANT legends and ancient folklore to creepy trails, magical stories and autumn adventures, National Trust places across Northern Ireland are getting into the Halloween spirit. Get ready to explore Castle Ward’s Castle Weird Hallowe’en Trail, encounter strange creatures on the Frightful Fernery at Mount Stewart, and discover where the story of Halloween comes to life at the Giant’s Causeway. There’s also plenty of seasonal fun to discover at Rowallane Garden, with spooky trails, games and activities for little ones.

Mount Stewart Gets Strange 

This Halloween, Mount Stewart becomes Mount Strange! Follow the Magic Ink Pot trail through the House or brave the Frightful Fernery trail outdoors, where strange sightings and spooky surprises await from 24 October to 1 November. Do you dare seek them out?

Castle Ward becomes Castle Weird 

From 24 October to 1 November, follow a creepy crawly trail through the grounds, inspired by Mary Ward’s fascinating creations. With spooky surprises, magical crafts and family fun along the way, dare you discover what’s lurking at Castle Weird?

Rowallane Garden 

From 25 October–1 November, get ready for Rowallowe’en fun in the garden, with outdoor games, spooky trails, a scary movie-making studio and a mysterious creature causing trouble in the Walled Garden.
