Crossing Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge is already a thrilling achievement itself, but why not make the day even more memorable by learning a brand new skill?
On Thursday 3 July, join Nature Engagement Officer, Dr Cliff Henry for a creative afternoon of Wildflower Crown Making, surrounded by the colours and scents of summer!
Let your imagination bloom as you craft your very own floral masterpiece and learn about the vital conservational work that helps protect our vibrant wildflower meadows at Carrick-a-Rede - it really is the perfect way to relax with the family in the outdoors and connect with nature.
The workshop will take place from 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
National Trust Members and Local Pass Holders gain free access. Online booking is strongly recommended in advance. This is a free event; normal admission charges apply.
Ticket price includes the full Visitor Experience; reserved on-site parking, walks and talks illustrating the history of the site, access to all facilities, including the restrooms and the café, as well as rope bridge crossing.

Meet Dr Cliff at the white stones area, located beside the Ticket Hut.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for the event and for the weather on the day.
- Accessibility
The group will be led by Dr Cliff to a nearby wildflower meadow. The 1km coastal path to the bridge includes steep steps and uneven ground before crossing the rope bridge to the island.
- Other
Dogs on leads are permitted at Carrick-a-Rede, including within the Tearoom facilities, however, they can't cross the rope bridge to the island.
