An exciting new display has launched in the Mansion House, Wardrobe of an 18th Century Lady.

Throughout September, discover costumes displayed around the house that represent a range of outfits typically worn by women in the mid 18th century. Explore the fashions, practicalities and social expectations that shaped an 18th century lady's wardrobe.
All the costumes on display were made by Castle Ward volunteer Jane Kilpatrick. They are regularly worn during living history events, helping to bring the people, fashions and stories of the house to life. Get up close with Jane's stunning creations this September.
The Mansion House is open for guided tours only on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 12pm - 4pm, the House is closed on Tuesdays. On weekends the House is open from 11am to 4pm for self guided free flow. The display will be in place until Monday 28 September so plan your visit now!
