Living History Days

What does it take to run a mansion house and estate? Find out from the people working to keep things running at Castle Ward in the 1800s.

  • Booking not needed
  • Free event (admission applies)

On our Living History Day, the house is alive with characters from the past! Peek into the busy kitchen to see the maids at work, drop in on the housekeeper in her private room, and keep an eye out for the butler on his rounds. Step into their world, and into history.

No booking is necessary - access will be via the Stableyard through the tunnel to the basement. The house is open 11am to 4pm.
