The Giant’s Causeway Clifftop Experience is a unique opportunity to see Northern Ireland's only World Heritage Site from a different perspective. This fully guided five-mile hike, delivered in partnership with Away A Wee Walk, offers an alternative route to explore the Giant’s Causeway with rarely seen views.

Five miles of rugged terrain

Beginning at Dunseverick Castle and ending on the world-famous stones, the walk covers five miles of wild and rugged coastal scenery along grass and gravel paths. See much more of the World Heritage Site as you make your way to the most northerly point of Northern Ireland. There are stone steps, wooden stiles and ‘kissing’ gates to cross along the way. Stop off at one of the most stunning view points in Northern Ireland at Hamilton’s Seat.

Accompanied by passionate guides

As you walk, you can listen to the stories of the Giant’s Causeway and learn about the history and geology of the Causeway coastline from the knowledgeable guides.

Departing daily

The Clifftop Experience walk departs daily from the Giant’s Causeway Visitor Centre at 11.15am for the Rambler bus to Dunseverick Castle. The walk returns along the cliff-tops to the Giant's Causeway and is expected to take around 3½ hours to complete, with 2½ hours of that walking time. Maximum group size is 14. Children must be aged 12 years plus.
