Rowallane Book Fair
One for the book lovers on 12 September! Join us over European Heritage Open Weekend for a day filled with books of all kinds!Discover a carefully curated selection of rare, antique, and collectible books in the stunning setting of Rowallane Garden. From vintage classics to specialist prints and hidden literary gems, this book fair offers something for collectors, enthusiasts, and curious readers alike. Event Highlights: Rare, out-of-print, and collectible books Antique volumes and first editions Scenic garden setting—perfect for a leisurely visit Refreshments available on-site. All proceeds from the event will go directly to the National Trust charity, helping to protect and preserve special places like Rowallane Garden for future generations.
Dog Photography Sessions - The Backyard Photography Company
Join The Backyard Photography Company for a one to one dog photography session in the beautiful gardens! How it works. The Backyard Photography Company will be onsite on 12 September, 10am until 2pm weather permitting, where Gail will set up in different locations for each session. The Welcome Team will be able to guide you to the exact location on the day. You do not need to book in advance, just turn up on the day.
Normal admission applies to access the property (National Trust Members free). Digital photographs are purchased separately after the event. These sessions will take place in a small area within the beautiful grounds of the estate. Rowallane Garden has a strict ‘dog on leads’ policy and all dogs must be kept on lead at all times. Pop along to Rowallane Garden on 20 September for the Autumn Plant Fair. Take a piece of Rowallane home with you as our Garden Team will be on hand sharing top tips and selling plants grown right here in this special place. They will be joined by a host of specialist nurseries and local traders. You will find something for every garden at this plant lovers haven.
Rowallowe'en Fun in the Garden
Spooky season is here, and what better way to have some family fun than with some outdoor games and treats.Take a walk in the old wood, make your own scary movie in the Stableyard film studio, and join the hunt in the walled garden to find out what villainous creature has been terrorising our gardeners!
Baby Banshee Boogie
Join us in the stableyard for drop-in Halloween themed music and movement sessions with Squiggles & Giggles.There'll be songs, puppets, music and play - perfect for getting little goblins giggling. Suitable for ages 0-3 years.
Jump Jiggle and Jive delivers fun, interactive dance and movement sessions for children. Their classes are designed to get little ones moving, smiling and learning through music, rhythm and play.
Rowallowe'en Monster Rave
Join us in the stableyard for drop-in Halloween themed music and movement sessions with Squiggles & Giggles.Gather by the tower for a danse macabre in the dark heart of Rowallane Garden! Put on your spookiest costume, warm up your dancing feet and get ready to dance til you drop. In collaboration with professional party animals Jump Jiggle & Jive, this is the perfect afternoon's fun for children age 4 and up.
