Woodland Play Sessions for Preschools and Foundation Stage with EGAP
Join us at The Argory for woodland play sessions for Preschools and Foundation Stage groups with Education Group Access Passes
- Booking advisable
- Free event
Preschool and Foundation Stage classes are warmly invited to take part in immersive woodland play sessions at The Argory.
These outdoor experiences are designed to foster creativity, decision-making, and self-regulation in young children, while nurturing a lifelong appreciation for the natural world. Each session lasts approximately two and a half hours, typically from 10:00am-2:30pm, though timings can be tailored to suit your group’s needs. Activities include a guided walk to the woodland area, free play in a beautiful natural setting, and a campfire to round off the experience. A dedicated Community Officer will meet your group on arrival and remain with you throughout the visit to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.
There is no additional charge to attend these sessions, but we ask that groups purchase an annual Education Group Access Pass (EGAP) for £63. This pass allows unlimited access to The Argory and other National Trust properties, and helps support the site financially. Please bring your EGAP with you each time you visit. Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport to the site. Group leaders are encouraged to conduct free planning and preparation visits ahead of their booked session. We recommend a maximum of one class (up to 30 pupils) per session, though you are welcome to book multiple days if needed.
To book a session or request further information, please contact Peter Brown at peter.brown4@nationaltrust.org.uk.
