We're pleased to say that we were granted planning permission for the car park project at Belton in 2023. The main works have now completed and visitors are able to park on hard-standing for the first time.

We were granted planning permission in 2023 to create an all-weather car park at Belton. The project has supported improvements such as EV charging points (which will be added at a later date), and has introduced new accessible parking bays, as well as a redevelopment of the existing visitor reception building into the new Information and Accessibilty Hub. The accessible Changing Places toilet will be opening soon.

Visitors arriving will now pay admission or scan membership cards at new Admission Points on the drive, before parking. The newly opened Information and Accessibility Hub at Belton provides a destination for those that require extra assistance planning their day. Mobility aids, such as wheelchairs and scooters, are available to hire and visitors can collect new walk maps for the gardens and parkland which highlight gradients and accessible routes. The Belton Team are on hand to answer any visitor enquiries and help plan your day out at Belton.

A final decorative spray & chip surface finish will be added to the roadways in spring 2024, when the weather conditions improve.

We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and understanding throughout the car park works.

Works begin at Belton

Car park works have now started at Belton. We asked all of our visitors to book in advance to help manage limited car parking capacity. Booking is no longer required.
