The gardens at Grantham House are a true oasis of nature in the heart of town. Unwind amidst the beauty of seasonal blooms in the walled garden, enjoy a peaceful shaded stroll through the woodland and take time out to play games with the family in the lower meadow.

The Walled Garden

The walled garden at Grantham House is a tranquil haven where you can escape the bustle of town, replacing the sound of traffic and bustling shoppers with the gentle hum of bees and the flapping of butterfly wings. This charming green space features neatly trimmed hedging and abundant borders, bursting with seasonal colour such as daffodils, irises, bluebells and apple blossom. The tree-lined path further encloses you from the stresses of urban life and offers fantastic opportunities for keen photographers to capture natural delights.

The south meadow and lawns

The wide expanse of the south meadow is bordered by the River Witham and its soothing sounds of flowing water. This space is well suited for family time together and you are welcome to play ball games in this area only.

Grantham House itself opens out onto wide lawns which can be savoured from outdoor café seating and will be host to community events such as fetes and yoga sessions.

Woodland walk

A short woodland walk skirts the edge of the upper lawn and is a shaded refuge of wilder nature where you can be encased in sounds of birdsong and the feel of a forest just minutes from the town centre.
