Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival launches with an activity day and free walks at Gunby
On Saturday 17 May, Gunby Hall and Gardens invites visitors to celebrate the Lincolnshire Wolds Outdoor Festival with a family-friendly activity day packed with guided walks, hands-on experiences and outdoor adventure.
With something for all ages—from creative crafts to wildlife walks—it’s a perfect opportunity to get outside, try something new, and enjoy the beauty of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
What’s on throughout the day:

Try candle making and discover the art of beekeeping

Join a guided walk led by the National Trust team

Learn bushcraft and survival skills—ideal for young explorers

Relax with a sound bath session in peaceful surroundings

Meet friendly animals including alpacas

Visitors can also meet local experts and exhibitors, including Lincolnshire Wolds Beekeeping, Wilderness Ways, Stourton Estate, Big Sky Alpacas, and more.

Nature and Conservation Walk – Four miles

Ice House Pond Walk – One mile

Wildlife and Conservation Walk – Four miles
10.45am–12.45pm & 1.30–3.30pm
All walks are free and include access to Gunby’s gardens, tea-room and second-hand bookshop. No booking is required—just turn up, stretch your legs and enjoy the day.
