Step back in time as Buckingham’s Retinue brings late medieval and early Tudor life to the grounds of Tattershall Castle, recreating the dramatic era of the Wars of the Roses (1455–1487). Discover fascinating aspects of everyday life from this period, test your skills with archery, and marvel at the excitement of fully armoured knights clashing in a thrilling melee tournament. Please note: some activities may incur an additional charge.

This event is suitable for families.

Accessibility

The re-enactment takes place in the grounds. The grounds contain loose gravel paths and uneven surfaces. Access to the upper floors of the tower is via a spiral staircase only (149 steps). There is ramped access to the ground floor parlour space.
