A circular walk taking in some of the oldest and most impressive features of the Buscot and Coleshill Estate, including the barn at Great Coxwell and the Iron Age Hillfort at Badbury. The walk also crosses several of the tenant farms that make up much of the estate.

*Walk covers various rights of way across the estate with a range of surfaces, including dirt tracks, grass paths and woodland floor. There several kissing gates along the route as well as footbridge

This walk can be started from Great Coxwell Barn, however parking is limited.

Start point
Visitor car park at Badbury, SN7 7NL
Stage 1
Head out of the car park, back towards the road, just before the entrance there is a footpath sign along the edge of the field bordering the road. Follow this a short way until you come to a finger post sign pointing right, carefully cross the road.
Stage 2
Follow this footpath towards Great Coxwell. Head down the hill until you see the Great Barn and then follow the field edge until you get to a finger post pointing left, towards the barn. Cross the yard in front of the barn and pass through the gate on to the lane through the village.

Walk through the village for a couple of hundred metres until you see a sign pointing right down Puddleduck Lane. Follow the lane across the fields of Colleymore Farm until you reach the farm buildings themselves. Turn right to pass the farm buildings, heading towards the road. Carefully cross the road and follow the opposite track towards Brimstone farm.
Stage 4
Follow the track until you reach Brimstone Farm, turning right just ahead of the farmhouse to follow the footpath towards Badbury Hill. Follow this path, across a small stream until you reach the edge of the woodland at Badbury.

Follow the waymarked path uphill through the woodland. As you reach the top follow the path to skirt around the hill-fort and past a small cottage. Follow this path until you arrive back at the car-park.
