8th of May. This one-day introductory foundation course is designed for new-comers to the world of traditional and heritage decorative paint effect techniques like faux marbling, wood graining & broken colour work

  • Booking essential

This beginner level accredited foundation course equips participants with practical skills and knowledge on how to create industry level, fine surface preparation and base coating for traditional & heritage paint effect techniques.

The course enables participants to work closely with an experienced and qualified paint effects artist with over 35 years of experience in the industry, working in a safe and inclusive environment.

Upon completion, participants will receive 7, valuable CPD credits and a signed, CPD accredited certificate for the course.

This course is suitable for beginners, but would also suit those looking to develop their traditional decorative finishes or practical skills in furniture painting.

Your tutor is Simon Nobs of South Coast Studio. Simon has been providing a high-quality painting and decorating service for 35+ years to clients across the UK and Europe, more recently focusing on the more artistic side of interior decoration. Simon has designed and created a range of high-quality workshops to teach, red-listed traditional decorative paint techniques.

Our class sizes are small, so you'll have a chance to engage with the tutor while you work. All materials and tools required for the course will be provided. This course takes place on Saturday 8th May, 9.30am-4.30pm. There will be a short break for lunch each day and tea/coffee is provided.
