Booking your visit to Pitstone Windmill
For 2024 we have introduced a new booking system for visiting Pitstone Windmill. This will provide a better experience for visitors. Pitstone Windmill will be open every Friday and Bank Holiday Weekends between 10 May and 27 September.
How to book
Pitstone Windmill is open on Fridays and Bank Holiday Weekends for guided experiences. You'll need to book your place in advance.
- Entry is free for members, but please bring your membership card with you. Non-members will need to pay in advance.
- Please book one ticket per person, except for children aged 5 or under as they don't need a ticket.
- Please book onto one of our guided experiences for entry into Pitstone Windmill. You can visit Pitstone Windmill at anytime without a ticket but won't be able to gain entry inside.
- Please arrive 10 minutes before your guided experience begins.
- Bookings are for your use only and are not available for resale.
- We'll send your booking confirmation by email. Please make sure you fill in your correct email address when you book to ensure you receive your confirmation email.
At 2pm and 3pm, we run storytelling and flour grinding sessions for under 6s. This comes at an additional cost of £2, which can be purchased on the door.

Changing your booking
If you set up an account when you made your booking, you will be able to amend the date/time of your booking online up to 24 hours before the date of your visit, or by calling 0344 249 1895

When you arrive
When arriving at Pitstone Windmill please make your way to the windmill to register for your pre-booked slot. If you’re a National Trust member, you’ll also need to show your membership card.
Please arrive 10 minutes before your ticket entry time to allow the expereince to start promptly. Sadly, if you're late, we won’t be able to guarantee you entry.
