From romantic temples and beautiful courtyards to smart conference spaces and grass filled paddocks; the perfect event location awaits you at Stowe Gardens.

Events at Stowe Gardens

Stowe’s 250 acre garden is the creation of many 18th century landscape designers, architects and craftsmen. A towering achievement that still influences garden design today. Ideal for wedding ceremonies, stunning photoshoots and historic filming.

In contrast to the grandeur of the gardens, Stowe’s New Inn offers a more modest option. Used as both an Inn and farm before being fully restored by the National Trust in 2012, this space houses modern cafe facilities, a welcoming conference room and rustic courtyards.

We offer all of our spaces on a dry hire agreement meaning that the sourcing of tables, chairs, lighting, catering, marquee hire, and music are for you to arrange. Allowing you to fully design your event from the ground (or temple!) up.

If you'd like to bring a professional photographer to capture a special moment, please get in touch, booking is essential. We charge a fee for personal photoshoots which helps to support the charity. Our photoshoots take place before and after the gardens are open to visitors, giving you privacy and exclusivity for your special moment. Not only that, you will have the services of a golf buggy and knowledgeable guide to escort you around the 250 acres, making sure you get the very best out of your photography session.

Each session can last up to three hours and must be booked in advance. Please note, for the enjoyment of our visitors and to ensure you get the very best out of your photoshoot, we do not permit photoshoots to take place during opening hours.

A photoshoot at Stowe will make you a part of Stowe’s history as much as Stowe will now become a part of yours. When you look at your precious photographs, you will know that your fee has played a part in conserving this beautiful landscape for future generations.
