Join us for a fully illustrated talk by Ellis Jones, a member of the Management Committee of Garrick's Temple to Shakespeare, and a former Vice Principal of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

The talk will portray the life of David Garrick, his Temple to Shakespeare in Hampton, London and his connections with France and the Huguenots, Protestant refugees who fled France to escape religious persecution. David Garrick (1717-1779), the celebrated English actor, is the subject of a portrait by Sir Joshua Reynolds’, which is on display at Waddesdon Manor as part of the Saved for the Nation exhibition. The talk takes place at the Dairy set within the grounds of Waddesdon Manor.
