Meet the Taxidermist: family edition at Calke Abbey
Sarah Burhouse from Birdhouse Taxidermy is back with family-friendly Meet the Taxidermist sessions this summer.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Head into the striking Saloon as part of your house visit to see Sarah’s taxidermy skills in action.
You'll also have the chance to get hands-on with fun activities, including getting up-close to the materials used in taxidermy, handling items and matching acrylic eyes to the right animal.
Sarah will be working on a naturally deceased, real bird for her demonstrations. These sessions are optional, taking place in a room on the visitor route in the house.
