Blaze Trails is the UK’s free parent and baby walking community. We bring parents together to get outdoors, build confidence and connect with others through friendly, peer-led walks in local green spaces.
Our walks are designed for parents with babies and young children and are led by trained volunteer organisers. Groups run across the UK throughout the year, creating welcoming spaces where parents can meet others, share experiences and enjoy time outside together.
Blaze Trails is free to join. Parents can sign up and attend walks at no cost, or choose to support the community through a voluntary Community Contribution. All walk details, events and resources are available on The Mighty Networks app.
Walks starting from Ilam Park will be listed here and are both free to sign up to and to park on site. Follow the link to the walking groups page where you can find the Staffordshire group (under West Midlands) and Derbyshire group (under easter Midlands.)

- Meeting point
Meet us in the stableyard, where you'll find toilets with baby changing facilities, the second hand bookshop and nearby the Manifold Tearoom (open from 10am).
- What to bring and wear
Dress for the weather, that might mean sunhats or waterproofs!
- Accessibility
The walks will start and end at Ilam Park where you can find free parking for attendees, baby changing facilities and toilets. Please contact event organisers to discuss accessibility of walks.
- Other
When arriving on site, please collect your free parking pass at the welcome hut.
