Sea Watch - Hurlstone Point
From Hartland to Hurlstone Point the National Trust is carrying out sea life surveys across 100 miles of coast this summer.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join rangers and volunteers to take part in a 2 hour survey at Hurlstone Point. This is an opportunity for families, nature enthusiasts, and anyone looking to learn more about identifying sea life species to get involved and help collect important data about UK sea life.
We’ll be meeting at Bossington Car Park at 10am for a short walk to Hurlstone Point, where we’ll carry out a 2-hour wildlife survey.
Our main focus will be on sea mammals, with all sightings submitted to the Sea Watch Foundation. We’ll also be recording seabirds and other coastal wildlife, making it a great opportunity to connect with nature. This event is suitable for all ages, and toilets are available at the car park. While we love dogs, we kindly ask that they stay at home to help avoid disturbing the wildlife. Please sign up using the link if you are able to, or if not please just come along on the day: https://myvolunteering.nationaltrust.org.uk/volunteering-events/riverlands/porlock-vale
