Montacute House Sings
Experience the sounds of Christmas at Montacute House this winter.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Listen for the echoes of song around the grounds, where you will hear Christmas carols that have been specially recorded by five Somerset choirs local to Montacute House.
Each group brings its own vocal stylings to these Christmas classics, and each choir recording will have its own festive backdrop. Stroll through the grounds to discover them all and get in the festive spirit for some carolling.
The Great Hall on the ground floor of the house will be decorated with a beautiful 15-foot Christmas tree. Down at the Stables block, you can warm yourself by the braziers and there is an opportunity for a fun Christmas photo. Leave your Christmas wish on the wishing tree and hopefully it will come true. In the Courtyard Café, edible treats like mince pies and mulled drinks will be available.
Montacute House Sings runs from 29 November to 1 January, except Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
