Come and meet the Taunton Garrison and learn about early life, when the building of Montacute House was just a grand idea in Edward Phelips' mind. Join in musket drills, and many aspects of historic living and meet and chat with folk straight from the 17th Century. The Muskets will be on display but not fired so not to disturb nesting birds. The Garrison camp will be based in the Farmers' Piece.
