Constable 250: The Rivers and Skies - Meet the Artists.
The Rivers and Skies is the title of an art project by artists Tom Hobden and Phoebe Stapleton that aims to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the birth of John Constable.
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Join artists Tom Hobden and Phoebe Stapleton as they darken the Granary and fill the building with light — projection-mapping clouds, maps, and Constable's paintings across the ancient beams and white walls to blur the boundary between the historic and the digital. This is the first glimpse of The Rivers and Skies, a new immersive work premiering this August. Visitors are invited to become part of the artwork — picking up cameras and interactive tools to shape and respond to the visuals in real time. Drop in any time throughout the day.
The Rivers and Skies is made possible through a co-commission from the National Trust and the Essex Cultural Diversity project, supported by Arts Council England.
