We couldn’t run Orford Ness without our dedicated and knowledgeable team of volunteers, who carry out a variety of tasks to make sure that visitors have a great day out. Find out about the kinds of roles available and how you can apply to join the team.

Ways to volunteer at Orford Ness

From meeting and greeting visitors to helping behind the scenes, there are plenty of opportunities for you to play a vital role in preserving Orford Ness for everyone, for ever.

We’re always particularly keen to hear from people with experience in education or tour guiding. But we’d also love to hear from you if you simply have an interest in wildlife or military history and want to help out at this special place.
