The story of Stoke with David Rose
Join David for a fascinating look at lesser known stories of the Stoke area of Guildford
- Booking essential
Local historian David Rose leads this walk from Dapdune Wharf downstream to Stoke Lock. Hear about the waterway’s fascinating history along this stretch. We then continue to the Riverside Nature Reserve before following the natural River Wey to look at some Second World War defences in the woods. We return by walking across Stoke Park, focusing on its history before it became a public open space.
