Easter Springfest at Nymans 

Spring’s the time for our annual ‘Springfest’ Easter trail at Nymans as we celebrate the joys of the season. From blossom trees to bug-hotels; butterflies to bluebells - there’s lots to see and do on this active Easter trail. Explore the Play Glade when you visit and get busy building a den or playing on the stepping stones. £3 per trail with Easter Egg prize. Normal admission. Sat 23 March - Sunday 14 April 2024, 10am - 4.30pm

Easter at Sheffield Park and Garden 

Have a quacking good time this Easter at Sheffield Park and Garden. Adventure awaits as you follow the trail around the gardens on a duck themed Easter trail, taking in fresh bursts of colour from the vibrant yellow daffodils. £3 per trail with usual admission, chocolate egg prize at the end, no need to book, 23 March – 14 April, 10am to 4.30pm.

Easter at Standen 

Hop into Standen with Easter themed activities on a fun trail for all the family. The new adventure play area has made Standen even more fun for families. It’s designed it so that little explorers can make deeper connections to the local landscape and nature through imaginative, natural play. Soar through the air in our accessible swing, clamber over our leaf shaped climbing frame or explore the contours of our willow maze. Easter trail £3 with chocolate egg prize, plus normal admission, Sat 23 March - Sun 14 April, 10am - 4.30pm.

Easter at Bateman's 

Jump into a world of adventure at Bateman’s with a Jungle Book twist. Play games and get creative with the help of characters from Rudyard Kipling’s beloved story. Free with admission. 23 March to 14 April, 10am to 4pm.

Easter at Bodiam Castle 

Have a roaring time at Bodiam Castle this spring with a dragon eggs-travaganza. Awaken your imagination as you discover the dragons at the castle. Join in with dragon egg and spoon races, play the dragon egg coconut shy, go on a dragon egg hunt and become a dragon trainer. There will also be crafts for families on selected dates, from £3 plus admission. Plus storytelling on selected weekend days. Check website for details. 29 March to 14 April, 10am to 4pm.

Easter at Lamb House 

Leap into action and find all the lambs that have escaped into the garden at Lamb House. Play games and solve challenges on our Easter trail to discover the location of each lamb! 24 March to 14 April, open Fridays to Tuesdays, 11am to 4pm.

Easter at Birling Gap 

White chalk cliffs and sparkling seas await at Birling Gap. Catch the spring sea breeze on an Easter family trail throughout the school holidays. £3 trail, free admission with small charge for parking. 28 March – 14 April, 10am to 3pm.

Spring Festival at Petworth 

Experience the arrival of spring at Petworth with a sensational new Spring Festival, set in a sea of daffodils. A free map and booklet takes families on an adventure through the daffodil-filled Pleasure Garden. Willow wildlife sculptures – from slugs and frogs to bees and birds - lead to games like daffodil hoopla and butterfly noughts and crosses. There’s a week of drop-in crafts too - design a mini spring wreath, or a cherry blossom card or bookmark to take home (£3). Spring Festival: 23 March to 14 April, 10am to 4.30pm. Bodiam Castle 

Can you unlock the mystery of the castle keys? Explore the rooms of this medieval castle ruin to find the hidden keys, try your hand at puzzles and learn about the Keeper of the Castle. Mystery-solvers will become keepers of their very own special key to take home. Plus, why not try your hand at longbow archery? Learn how to get to grips with a bow and arrow from friendly instructors against the backdrop of Bodiam Castle. Come back over the Bank Holiday weekend to see history come to life as a medieval encampment pitches up at Bodiam Castle. Meet characters from the 1400s and discover their way of life. Enter the arena to watch dramatic sword demonstrations, have a go at dressing a medieval knight and more. Trail runs 25 May to 2 June, 10am to 4pm. £3 with small prize. Designed for children aged 4 to 12. Have-a-go-archery runs 25 to 2 June, 10.30am to 4pm, £4 for 6 arrows. Suitable for adults and children aged 6+. Medieval encampment 25 to 27 May, 10am to 4pm. Free with admission.

Bateman's 

Baloo, the sleepy brown bear, has hidden puzzles and games to play around Bateman’s for you to discover. Put your skills to the test and uncover the clues around the house and garden to solve the puzzles. Trail runs 18 May to 2 June, 10am-4.30pm. £2 with small prize. Best suited for primary aged children.
