Come and learn how to play Pokémon Trading Card Game with us this summer.

Get started with Pokémon TCG with guidance from expert local Pokémon Professors. Perfect for complete beginners, these sessions will teach you everything you need to get started Pokémon TCG in a fun and welcoming environment. Don’t worry if you don’t have a deck of Pokémon cards yet – we have learner decks available to borrow in the sessions. Sessions will be run by an official Play! Pokémon Store. The Play! Pokémon program gives you the opportunity to compete against other Trainers in an organized setting where you can learn to play, meet fellow fans and have fun! You can find more information about Play! Pokémon at play.pokemon.com Booking is essential. Meet at the Riding House Café. If you’re no longer able to attend this booking, please email nymans@nationaltrust.org.uk with your booking details so we can free the space up for someone else.

Level access through the garden approx. 10 mins walk from the entrance. Sessions are in a room that has 2 steps up into it.
- Meeting point
The learn to play sessions will be held in a room adjacent to the Riding House café courtyard approx. 10 mins walk from the entrance. Grab a map at the entrance to find your way.
- Suitability for children
Children must be accompanied by an adult spectator. Suitable for ages 6+
- What to bring and wear
These learn to play session are inside, but all other Summer of Play activities are outside. Please dress for the weather and don't forget sun cream and hat.
- Other
Only beginner players need to book a ticket. Accompanying adult spectators do not need to book.

Early Bird Summer of Play in August
If you're an NT member you can join us extra early for a summer of play from 9am between Sat 1 Aug & Mon 31 Aug. Kiosk open for coffee, snacks, ice cream and drinks. Remember your NT membership card to show at the door.

This summer, your favourite Pokémon just got closer! From Sat 18 Jul - Fri 4 Sept, Summer of Play means you can share the magic of Pokémon as a family at Nymans.
The Art of Illusion: The Theatrical World of Oliver Messel
Sat 13 Jun – Sun 1 Nov: 11am–3.30pm. An exhibition upstairs in the gallery, exploring the creativity of Oliver Messel, theatre designer for stage and screen, and master of illusion and make-believe. Normal admission applies.
Sneak Peek Tours
Take a behind the scenes look inside the house on a sneak peek tour. Tours last approximately 30 minutes and are included in general admission. Please go to Visitor Welcome to collect a ticket. (Limited availability).
