From interior design to theatre props and film work, Oliver Messel’s life in design was influenced by a childhood spent at Nymans. He became Britain’s leading stage designer of the mid twentieth century with his lavish designs. Please note that the exhibition is upstairs in the Gallery.

Three Cheers for Pooh! Story Trail at Nymans
Sat 18 Apr - Sun 28 Jun. 10am - 5pm. Extracts from A.A. Milne's much loved Winnie-the-Pooh stories are paired with E.H. Shepard's illustrations in a family friendly story trail that spotlights some of Pooh's best known adventures.

Join a tour around the outside of the house at Nymans, looking at the building and seeing how it developed since 1890 when it was purchased by Ludwig Messel.
