Guided Tree Tours 2025
Join one of our expert volunteer Tree Guides for a 90 minute tour showcasing the magnificence of the trees at Nymans throughout the seasons.

After the continued success of last years tours we're happy to be hosting 16 new dates for 2025.
The Spring dates will take place on: Mon 17 March, Tue 1 April, Wed 16 April, Thu 1 May & Fri 16 May. Highlights will include Magnolias, Cornus kousas and Paulownia tomentosa.
The Summer dates will take place on: Mon 2 Jun, Tue 17 Jun, Wed 2 Jul, Thu 17 Jul, Fri 1 Aug & Mon 18 Aug. Highlights will include the Persian Silk tree, Catalpas and the Dawn Redwood.
The Autumn dates will take place on: Tue 2 Sep, Wed 17 Sep, Thu 2 Oct, Fri 17 Oct & Mon 3 Nov. Highlights will include the Arboretum, Handkerchief trees and the delightful fragrance of the Katsura trees.
You'll see many of our Champion Trees and learn about the influence that the Messel family had on the gardens, whilst having the opportunity to ask our experts your questions.

Please check in at Visitor Reception on arrival. The tour will start outside at the Hub.
- What to bring and wear
Please wear suitable footwear as the tour may leave the paths. The tour takes place outdoors so please wear appropriate clothing for a 90 minute walk.

This tour goes up and down steps and slopes.
- Other
Dogs are not permitted, with the exception of assistance dogs.

Halloween half term
Sat 18 Oct - Sun 2 Nov: 10am - 4.30pm. Have a spooky half term at Nymans with plenty of Halloween-themed fun and games, pumpkin faces, witches' hats and a bubbling cauldron. Free family trail around the garden.
Touring Exhibition: Last Night For Ever
Mon 18 Aug - Sun 30 Nov. A touring sculpture by artist and curator Andrea Gregson and featuring a sculpture in the garden in the ruins. The sculpture can be seen as part of a garden tour only and tours are subject to availability.
Meet the Artist: Andrea Gregson
Artist Andrea Gregson will be talking about her sculpture, 'Last Night For Ever' currently exhibited in the ruin at Nymans. The talk will take place outside in the garden in the ruins. Sat 8 Nov, 1.30pm. Normal admission, free talk.
A Fairytale Christmas at Nymans Family Trail
Join us for A Fairytale Christmas at Nymans this winter, inspired by the magic of much-loved stories. In the garden a Christmas family trail awaits, leading you through classic fairytales. Sat 22 Nov - Sun 4 Jan: 10am - 4pm.
