Petworth Late: Summer Solstice & Turner's Vision at Petworth Exhibition
Enjoy the summer solstice in the Pleasure Garden at Petworth, and see our new 'Turner's Vision at Petworth' exhibition.
- Booking advisable
Spend the summer solstice watching the sunset in the Pleasure Garden, and along the front terrace of the house, when the grounds are open from 7-10pm.
The Summer Solstice marks the opening of our new exhibition, 'Turner's Vision at Petworth'. For the first time in 20 years, a wide range of J.M.W. Turner’s artistic studies of the extraordinary landscape at Petworth House and Park will be exhibited in the very place that inspired him. The exhibition will close at 9pm.
Take a stroll around the garden to see the evening sunlight illuminate the Italian styled Ionic Rotunda and absorb the peaceful atmosphere on the woodland walk. Take a seat on one of the garden benches and enjoy the beauty of nature on this unique evening opening.
There will be live music performances during the evening.
Saturday 21st June, £15. We recommend booking in advance to guarantee entry. Tickets can also be purchased on the night.
