Lessons from Trees: Walk and Talk with Arborists Bianca Thomas and Al Wolski
Learn about how to change career into the study of trees, how to ‘read’ trees, and what exactly good tree care looks like! This walk and talk is part of our late autumn Garden Discovery Series on Trees!
- Booking not needed
- Free event (admission applies)
Enjoy this tour with Bianca, owner of ‘Girl in a Tree’ and biologist turned arborist, and Al, who is a seasoned arborist with over 25+ years of experience working with trees.
Begin this exciting talk by learning how to start a career as an arborist or change careers into this highly exciting field from industry experts Bianca and Al. You will then be taught how to observe trees themselves or simply, how to ‘read’ trees. For example, what are they telling us, how are they doing, are they stressed, what does the fungi around a tree tell us, or what about the importance of leaving deadwood?
Finally, they will teach you about what good tree care looks like in a practical garden, what is best of each tree, and how trees respond to different cuts and why. Gain a set of beginner practical tree-care insights on this tour that empowers you to make better decisions about their own trees in a back garden or beyond!
