Nature craft activities day at Chirk Castle

Join us as we welcome Nestlings Forest School to Chirk Castle and Garden for some outdoor nature craft sessions

Get crafty outdoors with our led nature craft sessions. Nestlings Forest School will be joining us on Tuesday, 26 August, to share some nature craft skills. Using special child-friendly hand tools, have a go at making your own willow crowns and spinning tops anytime between 10am and 3pm in the Summer of Play field of play next to the main car park. This activity is free to enjoy, but normal admission charges apply (free entry for under 5s and National Trust members).

Meeting point

Activities will take place on the Summer of Play field at the bottom of the car park.

What to bring and wear

The activities will take place outdoors, so please dress according to the weather.

This event takes place in a field with uneven terrain.

Other

Please note that dogs are not permitted in the Summer of Fun field, as it is a dedicated children's play area or the castle state rooms and garden. However, they are welcome in some other areas of Chirk Castle, including Home Farm, where refreshments and seating are available.
