Step into a world of playful discovery this Easter at Dinefwr, where the house, garden and courtyard bursts into life with birds, beasts and brilliant imaginative activities. From 28 March to 12 April, Dinefwr is transformed into a bird extravaganza.

Come and explore a series of joyful indoor spaces filled with stories, games and hands-on play. Simple to follow and perfect for all ages. Inside the house, every room holds a surprise. Sit at the Dining Room table, don a bird’s nest hat and try your luck at catching “eggs”. Dress up and join a Birds’ Tea Party in the Drawing Room, or wander downstairs to encounter a cosy ‘Egret’sBreakfast’ story experience in the basement. Little explorers can dive into storytelling with the Conspiracy of Ravens (a book that delves in to the collective names for groups of birds), stir up some imaginative Worm Soup in the bathroom, or settle down in the Ale Cellar with puzzles, books and bird-themed films. The Old Kitchen transforms into Bird World, an immersive adventure complete with ant nests and tiny wonders, while the Education Room welcomes back Dinefwr’s Woodland Theatre, filled with feathered friends and tales from the wild. Outside, continue the adventure in the Oak Yard. Climb, swing and clamber with ‘Tyre Tricks’ in the Old Laundry. Splash, pour and carry in the water play area - refreshed with added equipment for the new season. Find a quiet nook to read, write or enjoy sensory play in the Black Raven space; and enjoy the covered stage for pause, play and performance - pull up a beanbag and relax in the spring sunshine or maybe dig deep for your inner diva and belt out a banger!
